It's like watching paint dry.
Oh wait...
I think I should upload this, since I actually took the time to take these pictures, and also since I got a reasonable response to the whole foxy board thing. So here's the deck as it goes from one phase to the next. We go from blank, to primered, then white. You can see the stencil before it's used in that shot. Next apply the stencil, which took some effort cuz the board is curved and I had to use some quick thinking to get it to stay flat. Then the next stencil, after you figure out about where it SHOULD go now that the other stencil has been removed. And then the trickiest part: Inking. The only guide I had was a picture on the side. It wasn't until AFTER I finished that I realized there was a way to draw the lines in exactly where they were originally. But I still got it close enough doing it freehand.
Now to grab some bubble wrap and stuff it in the box the boardshop guy was nice enough to give me and bring it with me to the con.
EDIT: I like how it looks like crap until the very last stage. Many "What the hell was I thinking?" moments right up to the last moments.

I guess it would take a bit of getting used to if you don't typically do inking last. At this point it's more or less the M.O. for me anymore, haha. Still, I'd say you did a pretty good job working with what you had. If you do try it again with the same materials, though, I might suggest some light pencil work first if you're wary on inking.
That and you're crazy using aerosol inside. X)

I lightly used a ball point pen, since pencil would rub off. I have thought of a better way to do it though. I'm keeping that to myself.
And it's a relatively big inside, with the door open. Plus it was windy, so if I worked outside, dirt and grass woulda stuck onto the paint and I woulda been cursing for the rest of the day.

Well, since you're not doing it all the time inside, the space and the fumes aren't so much a worry (the fumes will only start to seriously effect you if you're around them many times a year for many years) as just the layer of dust it leaves. I dunno if you found the square around the edges of the newspaper you laid down. But, if you lay down the newspaper in the grass, it should keep the dirt and other things away from it while you paint. I work without it, though and never have too big of a problem. The wind can be a bitch though. Just gotta find the right day sometimes.
