HI this is a closed species by diorama (the base was done by her) but i'll be designing and releasing them


catmoths are cat/moth hybrids (wow amazing right). they are born wingless, and first develop wings during adolescence. adult catmoths shed their wings once every season (and thus can occasionally be seen wingless), and their wings will grow back within a week. if they lose their wings through other means, they will grow back upon the next shedding; however, the area from which their wings grow is very fragile, and if damaged, they will permanently be unable to grow their wings back. catmoths grow fur around their necks and limbs, which can be shaved if preferred.

catmoths are primarily nocturnal, preferring to sleep through or lounge around during the daytime. they are very curious in nature, and have an affinity for shiny or luminescent objects. they are naturally territorial, but are often prized as pets due their exotic markings and coloration. their wings are their most valued trait; many catmoth owners will accessorize or paint over wings in order to create new patterns, and the scales from their wings are believed to have various medicinal and supernatural properties.
