Maybe she uses magic to fly and the wings are just there. And because she did not need the wings, she did not develop them so they are small. ^^

Dragon Drive is kinda centered around dragons, but it has more of a yu-gi-oh/digimon-ish vibe to it I think xD

I did go back and watch all of digimon like a year ago, - the DNA digivolve season 5 because it just got ridiculous.
