When the minds behind Nakashima Industries set out to bring the Mini-Michii concept to life, they were taking on a very large endeavor. There were many unknowns, and in order for the final product to be successful, they had to take on many smaller research projects.

After a few years, the scientists at Nakashima Industries were finally ready to put their ideas together for the first time, and the very first prototype Mini-Michii was "born". Raiku decided to name her Mochi.

Mochi was kept within the facility where she was studied on how the different body systems interacted with each other. Notes were made and refinements were were instated. When the Mini-Michii was finally ready for production, Mochi was gifted to Michelle as thanks for her contribution to the project.

The most obvious difference between Mochi and the production model is her build. She is an inch taller in height, and has a more shapely build closer to the actual Michelle. Like the production model, Mochi has no reproductive organs (despite her visible bosom). She does, however, have a complete digestive system, allowing her to eat whatever she wants - though Mochi still insists on eating nothing but Twinkies.

Mochi's attitude is essentially an amplified version of Michelle's bratty, teenager years. She is blunt and rude with those she isn't familiar with. Even when she opens up to a person, she has difficulties showing affection. Nevertheless, she is loyal to those who earn her trust, and is a valuable ally to have.
