Sometimes, that afternoon swim is undeniably needed.
With temperatures in the high 90s, the scalding hot sands of the beach barely stand up to the lapping of the gulf's waves.

This is where we find our dear giraffe after a brackish swim, the water thankfully imparting its cooling powers onto an already thinned summer coat.
