Yeah, so i said a week ago there would be some new art from the "lost" Raffa folder (old art inks with some new colours)...but then had too much day job and too much commission stuff and it got hot and blah blah blah....
So anyhoo here is a sneak preview - she isn't quite done yet - mainly her hair, integrating her better into the background etc....BG here is at full working size, Raffa at 40% working size (yep, they're on separate files to keep the file sizes down)...
This is a small cropped detail of the pic, btw...the whole pic is fairly big....
Anyhoo....

Jeez, this is huge!
The background file is 3000 x 2400 which is fairly small-medium sized as most digi art goes these days. The main reason for not making it larger was that i was using Krita's foliage brushes and the program slows down a bit if you make them too big (and eats up more memory thus threatening crash)...at full size it looks rather rough (as shown here) but fit to screen size it looks quite nice. I still have a couple tweeks to do to the bg – connect some leaves with stems, erase some, etc etc.
The combined picture size is the same as the bg – 3000 x 2400 – Raffa gets reduced 40% and the pic here is a crop of that at full resolution.
Goodness it makes me want to just ruffle that platinum blonde hair.
Go ahead and ruffle away - she doesn't bite!
The detail was a bonus!
1. Old Art - done way back in the dinosaur days of digi-art.
2. When my previous comp died i hadn't backed up all my art - so i had to recover some files from dA and FA. i still intend to try to recover the files from that harddrive - learn to do it myself or pay through the nose for it (techs charge thousands to that)...
Anyhoo, the full final size Raffa pick is up at Weasyl now:
