We are now less than fifteen days away from putting on the Coping with Disabilities Through Pony panel at this year's BronyCon in Baltimore, Maryland!
This image by :iconstoneth is to compliment our initial promotional image in which can be found at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13435706/. As you may notice the first image is like a before with this image being the after.
Having said that this image and its predecessor will respectively make for the front and back cover of the "Beyond the Panel" project which is a book filled with inspirational stories on how My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has helped folks from around the world cope with their respective special needs or traumatic life events.
The book itself will be initially available as a freely downloadable ".DOC" file (Word 97 / 2003). Screen reading applications, like JAWS, will have no trouble going through each of the 40 entries while those who can see will be able to just as easily go through each story for each tale has its own page in the book.
Keep a look out on our web site for when the final version of the document is uploaded for free download. Our site is http://copingwithpony.weebly.com/.
Nishi is going to work on making the book available as an at cost to the publisher tangible book in which you can order. He is also going to create a .PDF that will be freely available to download from our official site as well. The Audio Book edition of .MP3 files will be finished by
azuredragon sometime by the end of August.
This project is but one of two "Beyond the Panel" projects. The second will be done by Silly Filly Studios who have kindly offered to adapt their hit animation, Snowdrop so that it will contain descriptive audio for those who are blind or visually impaired. Expect this sometime in August.
We thank everyone for all their support and hope you help spread the word on how capable those with special needs really are. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic may be a well known show that has inspired people to cope with their respective life's situations. But we know there are other groups out there who do the same thing that should be recognized to show how capable the so called disabled are. Lets work together to make things better and empower the public on what we with special needs can do in which do not have anything to do with established stereotypes, stigmas, or societal ignorance.

Same here, my friend. We've put a lot of work into this. If we can get people to start looking at disabilities as an afterthought instead of a judge of how a person feels or acts we will have succeeded. :)
I'd love it if other conventions, groups, etc. piggybacked off this idea to help other groups of folks in which have individuals with special needs do similar projects. The more positive informative awareness we can get the better off we'll all be.
