Ladies, Gentleman and Variable Genders, I give you "Pinion"

Designed by myself and fabricated by the very talented Fallen Oak Forge , this is my favorite piece to date. An 18" blade and a 5" grip with design inspirations from the Philippines. This piece was forged with 3 elements in mind: the impacting power of a Tomahawk, The Cutting Variety of a Sword and the Agility of a Short Sword.

The focal point at the center creates the "chopping" ability, but the full length of the blade provides a much wider variety for cuts and maneuvers while keeping the overall length minimal to allow for agility. After enough training with this piece, I may have a replica commissioned as well to create a twin-sword style, which is my ultimate goal for this.
