Pony Commission Upgrade for 
nicoya
Almost a year ago, I made this pic for nicoya: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11538232/
After I opened up for a few MLP design commissions, I was asked if I could upgrade that commission to one with full shading and a background. I figured I'd give it a shot. So I was asked to add the pony just lounging and relaxing in the middle of a snowy onsen, or hot spring bath type thing. Looks rather relaxing to me!
It was a rather simple background but it really let the character pop out and just shine. ^^

I can see that though sometimes it's just a character pic where all that's needed is the character. A finished "piece" needs a background I agree. And scenery, certain types of it especially, can be really difficult to learn how to create. Especially if you're learning on your own without guidance. It just takes practice and effort. ^^
