to be honest beauty and the beast could not have ended that was as the servants would still be stuck as objects, The village would have wanted revenge for Gaston leaving the beast to be killed and belle to be burned for being a witch, the area still needed a regent and a beast would never be accepted, the village was still scared and angry meaning things would happen sooner or later and the witch released him of his curse that way she would not have to get involved also check out DCs fables
