My first official oil painting since like 10 or plus so years. (I first used oil paint back when I was a kid)
This was our project for our majors painting class this term. It isn't the best but, hey! For a first try in how many years, I'm pretty proud of the result.
(But I still prefer acrylic and or a tablet)

I love this the oil paint really does show your art style and the way you took the picture the light does shine off it just right though the mouth does look a little faded out from the white and the handkerchief could have used a little more attention that or there just smudges also the ears kinda blend in with the background but who cares fantastic mr fox is great this is fantastic and im being a nitpicker sooo yeah now im babbling but your oil painting after a few years to do this is actually impressive hell its alot better than me or anyone I know
Thank you for those insights - all very constructive & noted. I tried following my professors techniques at first, but found myself under more difficulty, therefore I went with my own way to just settle things on this. (FYI, that isn't a handkerchief - it's a piece of weed that he bristles in his teeth)

Anyway, you informed me that it was due to a love of Fantastic Mr. Fox; which I had seen before but never made the connection with your use of it and the movie, lol
