But according to the space dandy wiki, they are based off of felines; Appearance-

It can go either way really. It's a generic carnivoran body plan.
A weasel standing up is roughly the same though the proportions more closely match the mustelid rather than feline. It's the neck and head size and length, as well as the really short hind legs that lean me into thinking this way. All in all, it's an alien. It's not an earth creature. And,as such, it is outside of animalia and even mammalia overall
