Not particularly... I'm not sure quite how you mean though haha. The character design or the technique? I did this one mostly with a hard square brush (obviously the sort of backdrop was not, that was a round soft brush) which I think suited the scalier texture. To get the opalescent/glowy look I just did several low opacity layers, with the most in the highlight areas. If you are curious I did take progress shots for this one: http://imgur.com/a/0QchV#0
