He walked through the stone halls, exhaustion tugging at his eyes. He had no idea how long he had been wandering through the maze of corridors but he knew it had been a long time. The exhausted mage and his companion, a furry green beast, sat down, weary from travel.

"We must be missing something," he mumbled with a sigh.

Pulling out his map he peered down at it, trying to see something that he had not the first ten times he had looked at the map.

"Damn!" He exclaimed, throwing it into the wall in front of him.

It landed with a soft thud. Disheartened, he stood to take his leave when his companion nuzzled him gently with its tongue.

"What is it, Ooma?"

The beast pulled him towards the map and as he was about to scold it, he noticed. The whole map was the shape of what he had been searching for: "The Golden Egg."

He took off down the right hall, then the left and he stopped in a room he had come across only one other time. He glanced around and saw a chest covered in cobwebs high above his head.

"Ooma, fetch."

The beast reared up and grabed the box in it's large jaws and set it on the ground. The mage opened it desperately and was met with a golden light that blinded him for a second. He carefully yet shakily lifted the pure golden egg from it's nesting spot and held it up to his face. He snickered maniacally as he stared into the bright light.

"We've found it. The ancient weapon that will help us take over the world."


Yeah sorry for such a long story. I just thought of this while I was drawing it. This was my first experiment: Making the glowing effect. I did so roughly without tutorials which makes me proud. :3
