KitsuneHazard thanks for the photograph! July 4 2014, Pittsburgh PA.
What's new since last season? Aside from replacing the cracked windshield with new glass and new vinyl graphics applied:
1) The paint job. The Scion's original factory color was Nautical Blue which is a very dark blue metallic, almost black. I chose another factory color Toyota used on the Yaris, Blazing Blue Metallic. Several bits of interior plastic trim were disassembled, masked and prepped to be painted to match the exterior, including...
2) the TARDIS roof light, scratch-built from steel and brass with a glass "jelly jar" shade. Self-contained and removable; magnetically adhered to the roof when appropriate. The 12v automotive bulb flashes with a slow steady pulse and is remote activated.
3) The plastic no-name hubcaps were replaced with new chrome lug nuts, stainless steel trim rings and steel center dust caps which I polished and nickel plated. I'm a professional metal finisher.
4) New floor mats and cargo area mat hand cut from gray rubber material ordered in bulk from Lloyd's mats; with hexagonally patterned "roundel" depressions - very TARDIS-like. Also a new white vinyl spare tire cover to replace the original space-consuming molded foam cargo area "deck".
5) A replacement instrument cluster gauge face of my own design - marked in circular Gallifreyan!
6) A new scratch-built deck surrounding the toy flight control console enabling the Doctor Whooves, K-9 and Derpy figures to reach the controls.
7) TARDIS interior roundels, evoking the classic series, covering the A, B and C pillars. The textured gray plastic trim panels had to be carefully removed and sanded smooth for dozens of hand cut 8cm white vinyl roundels to adhere in a hexagonal pattern. That was many hours work, lemme tell ya!
8) St. John Ambulance medallion magnet to complement the police telephone instruction sign magnets. This detail reappeared on the 2010 TARDIS after many years' absence.
9) Cute blonde companion. "Hug me backpack" style Derpy plush figure is a souvenir of last year's NYC Comic Con, and I let her take the wheel of the TARDIS. I wasn't worried. She already knows how to fly.

That would be Rassilon's Star, better known as the Eye of Harmony. No Derpy, it's not one of the six elements. The Doctor hopes to discover what relation may exist to the crystalline Tree of Harmony, and if the tree is the extra-dimensional wellspring of all Equestria's magic.
