This was the badge I wore at BronyCon last year and will again wear this year. It is from
Tacki's last submission prior to dedicating himself to his studies so he can have a brighter tomorrow. Please join me in wishing
Tacki good luck as he does all he can to make his life the best it can be.
The other purpose in sharing this is to let you know who to look for if you are attending BronyCon this year. I'm looking to cosplay for my very first time on Friday, August 1st as "Blind Spike" as Saturday is the big day for me, my son, and the rest of my colleagues to put on our panel Coping with Disabilities Through Pony.
So much has happened over this year but I know it will all be for the better. Especially hosting this panel.
azuredragon has already compiled the Inspirational Book in its initial form so expect to see it become available in various formats very soon. We also have Silly Filly Studios to thank for taking the time to make a special version of their animation, Snowdrop, in which features descriptive audio!
Between the inspirational book, special edition of Snowdrop, and the panel itself we are very hopeful to raise genuine awareness about how capable individuals with special needs are. If this panel can help empower others to keep up the fight me and others have been waging for equality and understanding than I will be a most happy ducklett. :)
For those interested in learning more about the panel I can encourage you to visit our official site at http://copingwithpony.weebly.com/
My family's move officially is underway tomorrow, Friday, July 11th. But I will still be around on the internet until the following day. Expect me back sometime either Wednesday, July 16th or Thursday, July 17th.
A new chapter with new opportunities. Wish us luck!

I've nothing to say about the art piece that I haven't said when it was first posted, but I am glad to hear that Tacki is well. As I may have noted before, I do tend to worry when internet buddies disappear unexpectedly so I do appreciate that and wish the lil' red dragon the very best of luck in advancing his education!
Also, good luck at the convention! ^^ *luck hugs for your panel*

*Huggles the kitty* Thank you, Kaffre. I hope
Tacki comes by and sees I posted this again. This image has so much meaning to me. The whole is better but I am proud to wear this on my lanyard at the convention to show every pony what a little ducklett I am. :)

NEO! Oh how happy I am to hear from you!
Is your friend coming to BronyCon again? Please keep me in the loop if you two are heading over so we can meet up. If you need any other details about the panel or anything please let me know.
I also owe you a super huge apology. I've meant to write you regarding NaPoeWriMo and how I really missed seeing your poetry this year. If I wasn't going through so much crud at work that is now leading me back into unemployment I know I would've not been so stubborn as to keep forgetting how important it was that I checked in to see how you are doing and what may have kept you from this year's NaPoeWriMo.
Please know how sorry I am that I didn't write or do anything once I realized an important part of my year had gone by poem free. I do hope you get back to it next year. *Hugs*

You're super sweet~ |3; I don't think my friend is attending this year, but I'm attending with another friend - ironically a guy I met at Bronycon last year~ Me and him have been... well |3; doing things.... if you know what I mean ;)
*Squeezes~* I started my first year at the University of Maryland, and last semester during NaPoWriMo, I was working two jobs on campus, taking 4 classes, and commuting an hour to and another hour from school everyday. I was a Teaching Assistant for Object Oriented Programming II and was working my current job called "Staffworld" which is an IT help desk for the Computer Science department. Between everything, I was overwhelmed with responsibilities and I simply could not focus on doing poetry...
I'm really hoping to start writing again in general. I've been contacted by somebody to do a really naughty story that wouldn't even be allowed to be uploaded on FA (it's an InkBunny type of story, if you know what I mean |3). I'm also on a team for another naughty project, but again, I haven't done enough of that either. There's just so much to do with myself! I'm about to move up closer to campus, so I hope that I'll have more time for myself (at least 10 hours a week I wouldn't be driving to and from home). This is also going to be taxing on my time soon because I haven't started to pack or anything :S
I'm impressed with what I see from this panel! I went to the ebay page and I noticed that there weren't any listings anymore. I hope that means you managed to sell everything you wanted to sell for the fundraising! I would offer some support but I fear I don't have any money to spare (especially since I plan on attending Bronycon :!)

Ooh! How interesting it will be to attend BronyCon with the very someone to whom I do believe is making you a most happy little patamon. :) Perhaps some anniversary plans are in order? There is The Gala on Saturday if I recall.
Props to you for taking RL seriously and doing whatever it takes to make yourself successful in life. I recall from some of your journals awhile back that you were ever struggling to do all you could to get by. Your determination and dedication shall surely pay off. One cannot do all you have without reaping a grand reward both personally and professionally. :)
Another cool thing to remember. as I have, is that ideas never truly leave your mind. You may have missed NaPoeWriMo but the poems are all still there in your noggin waiting to be written when the time is right.
I haven't wrote a story since I was bullied out of my job. I miss writing stories. I've had some fun with Nishi here and there but that's about as much storytelling as I've been able to do since having to cope with how my vision is getting worse at a faster rate, having to move the family due to lost income, and working on plans on how to move forward professionally when I know I can truly no longer rely on my vision.
As for fundraising I would say it went as well as one could expect. I'm still roughly $600+ in the hole for everything despite having sold off a huge chunk of my personal gaming, anime, and other various items within my collection. Donations were few and far between but were all appreciated. Though this panel is more of a labor of love for me as I fought for it since December of 2013 which was way before I got beaten into a mental pulp by my management for matters largely out of my control as technology became less accessible and my sight got worse at the same time.
Selling items from my collection was also a matter of therapy, too. Pretty much everything I auctioned were things I'll never be able to truly enjoy again. They were things that served more as teases of a life that once was in which kept me from creating a clear path for a future without sight. So that in itself was a bonus. I also gave away a lot of items to my wife's school to serve as incentives for her students while also giving away particular items of interest to Nishi, my in-laws, etc. Better to know said items can bring happiness to someone than sit here reminding me of what I once was able to do.
Back on the panel we are so very proud of all we've accomplished for it. We got a wonderful time slot, a great room to host it in, and one piece of our "Beyond the Panel" work is nearly complete! This being the book of inspirational stories! Silly Filly Studios is also working on a special edition of Snowdrop for the blind and visually impaired. So that's a huge win in my opinion.
Sorry for all the gabby. It's just been too long since we shared words. Keep up the hard work, good luck on your own move, and I can't wait to see you at the convention! :)
