Dimitry shows off a Soviet developed lightsaber from the 80's. In the living airplane universe, fighter aircraft can also be trained to fight with swords in either ground or aerial combat. Inside the sword, it carriers a micro reactor that generates a 3 foot beam with enough energy to slice through an enemy's neck or wings. This lightsaber was rarely produced and there were only 30 of them made during the cold war. These swords were given to a select few fighters that who trained to use them.
After the Cold War, several swords were withdrawn and some swords had their radioactive liquid drained out. Then, they were placed into museums for public display. Dimitry was one of the swords' original users and he still has one. His still has liquid in it and it's put away inside a metal case, so no curious hands can touch it.
