Root wolves are interesting beasts. Terrible, but interesting. Plant beasts, resembling the wolves from the long lost surface lands.
They themselves have no need for food, little for water and seem to appear just about anywhere. They spawn from small clusters of tough, seemingly harmless roots that dig up from rock and dirt from an unknown source somewhere deeper down in the earth than any of the caves we have ventured.
The wolves serve a sole function. To hunt and kill meat and return it to the roots to decompose and nourish them. A function they are remarkably efficient at doing. Only constant diligence has kept these menaces from overwhelming us.

It'd say it turned out really awesome. Gave him free reign on the root wolves and he really brought them to terrible life! look at those things. scary! More than happy with this. : }
