cryptozoo traded me some of his mad lining skillz on my artz for some of my shading/coloring on his ^^ I couldn't resist showing off how I shade & color things, so I decided to post my part of it this time :3
I shade it all upfront on a flat med grey using a mixture of sai's brush and watercolor tool, and a soft eraser. I do the same again with the highlights on overlay, trying to keep light source in mind. (In this case its above and a bit in front of the figure)
Then I turn OFF the shading/highlights, and block in all the colors. (or if Crypto has done it for me, I skip straight to painting/markings ^^) Then the tedious parts of coloring shading (if necessary, sometimes its nice to have one-color shadows) and coloring in the linework. Then done! :D
