Not serpentine per say, but yes.

Nah, skin is pretty temporary. Sand-like lighter tones will probably be better, yes.

I was also wondering about... ah, eye protection. And energy storage / the types of critters they'd go after. They're fast, but can they run very far?

Yeah, decently far. I did not mean cheetah-fast, it is more in terms of being light and dextrous.
Eye protection? The whole face/head is up for redesigning into whatever, so do shoot?

Well, not all animals in the desert have something to protect their eyes with, I think camels are in the category that do because they're tall and have to worry about that stuff more than jackrabbits do because of it. Maybe some of that fur could serve to shield the eyes along with serving as a buffer against the temperature and sunlight?

This is an interesting thing to think about since predatory 'mammals' in the desert are almost completely unheard of on Earth. XD I can't really think of any off the top of my head.

Well, unless eyelashes will do it, I'll have to look into that.

oh i love this! its so beautiful. I like how its body is so slick and aerodynamics. Man i cant tell you how much i love this. It sorta looks like its from the weasel family. How big is it? ^^
