Malamute on the Water

Commission for client.
As with my previous Norse work, these style is a merge of the Ringerike style and the Urns.

The client wanted a design to represent their new, water loving canid pal.
There is a slight blue tint to the water as a personal preference to indicate the water.

So far, it's a common compliment- the water is a winner! I wanted to balance the tail and the water- both supporting each other's design, and making it seem more energetic! :)

Ohhhh this is amazingly good! The blue detail is to die for, made me feel like I see it from an old book and boom! Shiny detail!

Celtic designs are slightly different than the Norse in complexity- usually for any tattoo design I charge between $70-$100, depending on what you are looking for. :)

Admittedly, the reference pic I got from the client was his Malamute skidding on a shallow lake- so it was easy to mimic! :)

They are actually tattooing this on the opposing shoulder that I previously had designed another tattoo, commemorating the previous malamute. It's a family!
