He never knew this journey,
Would be his last one.
The storm finally calmed,
As he was stranded in the vast ocean.
That is when she came across,
Lifting him up with ease,
Enchanting her stare upon eyes in awe.
Then she knew this being was hers to claim,
Delicately feeding,
Taking what was now hers.
Caught.

I really love your sirens. They really are such beautiful creatures, and the design you've come up with for this one is just gorgeous. I really like her long, flowing hair and the delicate scales on her tail and shoulders, as well as the exotically beautiful color scheme you've given her. Everything about her is alluring, and the elegant curves of her body, and the tender way she's holding her victim are all incredibly sensual and sexual. All of which just works to emphasize the power she holds over him, and her sinister and deadly nature. Often, the most dangerous things are the ones that attract us the most, and I think she embodies that idea absolutely perfectly. As she should.
I really like the magic effect as she steals the sailor's life force away, and his expression of mingled helplessness and fascination are a big part of what really makes this picture work, I think. It's easy for the viewer to seem themselves in his place, and to imagine what he must be feeling at this moment. What's more, well maybe it's just me, but it's all too easy to imagine that nobody else could resist her any more than he can.
Everything looks absolutely fantastic, too. The anatomy and the poses are really nicely done, and I love your coloring work on this piece. The dark, almost monochrome ocean and sky really make their colors glow, and whether it was intended or not it works quite nicely as a symbol of his life and will draining away and everything else but her fading to nothing. Beautifully done all around!
