This is a 3 hour sketch of the "modern" incarnation of Oto and Sekur. Oto is around 8~9 years old for this scene (And Sekur is about 23). They are a legal surrogate family, which does tend to get a few odds looks from strangers. Although the relationship in question is closer to an Big Brother / Lil' Brother duo than a Father/Son.

Here Oto was supposed to be taking swimming lessons, but ofc children are known to be quite terrified of deep water, so naturally he sunk like a rock... He would not even dare enter the water, not even in the kiddie pool.

Luckily, Sekur is easily twice the height of the kiddie pool (usually it's 4ft deep). So he ends up comforting Oto's failures by giving him a lift.

But it'll be weeks before Oto learns to even doggy paddle unaided, let alone swim.

This is relevant scene point to my webcomic story BTW. Just saying. :)
