If you are interested, though, I use a Canon PowerShot SX20IS, the same camera I've used nearly exclusively since I was 16 and has been with me across America, through 5 countries, and shot everything from Weddings to concert videos. All the programs weren't hard to come by, and the more expensive ones like PhotoShop could have been easily replaced with cheaper image editors if I'd wanted. It's all so much fun!
