While having a drink at a local tavern Guntram finds himself being pursued by a nobleman for some reason or another. Probably has something to do with Guntram's habit of shrinking entire cities he doesn't like.

If Guntram's got a rap sheet for shrinking cities he doesn't like...then MAYBE sending goons after him is a bad idea. Just sayin'; maybe don't give him an excuse...
Maybe they thought they could catch him by surprise. Or they could just have the same mindset as those that still use guns against Superman.
