Yep. Mannez's was given to him by his adopted dad with the mark of the gang they ran, the Wolf Pack. It was basically his sign of allegiance since he couldn't really get tattoos and his dad told him never take it off, so even though his dad has been dead for a while he hasn't taken it off. Wolkai's was given to him by Mannez when he agreed to stay with him. Usually Mannez's powers make a mark on his pets, but Wolkai was immune to it and removed it every time he disobeyed, so Mannez had a special collar made for him to match his sash and put a lock with his mark on it. Though Wolkai can probably remove it if he wanted to he doesn't want to.

Yep, it was a curse that forced him to see the bad of the world, but he didn't like it so he stopped the curse before it did what it was meant to do. Now it affects him only at times of weakness and is the one spot people can control him with (For example it is the only spot Mannez can place his mark that wolkai can't remove and Warren tried placing his on his eyes as well before Wolkai learned how to force it to appear somewhere else.) It is one of the iggest reasons Wolkai does not like or trust his brother.
