A bit of an older one, did this a looooong time ago but never uploaded it here.
I needed some practice with perspective and size, plus I really wanted to do my own rendition of the Royal Canterlot Library, and here it is.
In terms of architecture, I took inspiration from two of the world's most iconic and awe-inspiring libraries; The Trinity College Old Library in Dublin, and the Library of Congress in Washington D.C., and then placed it all in an Equestrian setting.
I daresay though, that the whole thing ended up looking rather Byzantine in appearance, which was entirely unintentional. I was going for more of the Library of Congress's Romanesque feel, but what the hay, it works. XD

Very pretty and awe inspiring. Can't help but see this as some sort of abstract manifestation of Tlight in Celestia mind each book a tome of knowledge, some even Celestia had forgotten over the thousands years. And thus in the awe of the moment tiwlight had ending up lost in the narly endless halls.
