“Should be here any day now…” a male muttered under his breath, whom was currently laying on the mattress of his bedroom.
He was waiting for a delivery that was to arrive within a week, currently bored out of his mind waiting for it since it was the sixth day since ordering it. Much as he wanted to try and find something to try and keep his mind off of the crushing boredom, he couldn't find much to do; His home was clean, all the dishes and laundry he had washed and even put away, yet there really wasn't much to do here at all. A sigh came out from him, it adding onto the countless others he let during the week, thinking of hopping onto the computer he had to check the status of the delivery.
Before he could though, he heard several knocks on the front door of his home, getting up from his spot to answer it. Walking up to the door, he opened it expecting to see a shipping worker standing with the package in hand. However, the lack of said human puzzled him, looking around before glancing down, seeing the package he first imagined. Seeing that the lack of a shipping worker did relieve him of any potential embarrassment, kneeling down to pick up the moderate-sized box, closing the door after he backed up into his home again.
A small smile came to his face, walking to the kitchen and set the box on the table, getting a sharp-enough knife to cut the tape of it. Walking back to it with said kitchen tool in hand, he worked on opening the box, soon having the parts cut and opened the flaps to the container, setting the knife back where he got it before shifting through the packing peanuts the box had. Thankfully for him, he didn't really have to dig all that far, grabbing hold of something rubbery within, smiling before tightening his grip and pulled, seeing a pink-ish rubbery mass coming out. It was soon accompanied by what looks like a form of frog-like head, a pair of side-fins extending out behind it, a third one extending from the center-top of its head. The appendage the man held ended at the head, seeing the patterns of it looking like it was wrapped around the base of it, setting the overall piece aside as he worked to get the rest of the costume he ordered out.
It took him several minutes, a good chunk of that due to him cleaning up afterward, putting all the shipping peanuts back into the box before looking to the piled up mass. The objects in question he got out were all separate parts of a costume he ordered, the suit being that of the pokemon Greninja. Said 'mon was humanoid in body build, the skin of it largely blue or navy blue in color, with circular spots being a light blue around its forearms and knees. The 'scarf' that would drape behind it was actually its tongue, being wrapped around its neck to look like the apparel it mimics. The size of it overall would be able to fit the human rather nicely, being at around five feet, ten inches standing.
First things first though, he had to make sure that it would actually fit without risk of damage, grabbing hold of the torso portion of the costume. It didn't have the arms nor legs attached to it, meaning it could slip on almost like that of a vest, the human easily slipping it on. It did have a form of padding inside of it, figuring it was mostly for grip so the suit wouldn't end up slipping off that easily. After pulling up the zipper the torso piece had, he started to put the arms of the suit on, though did have to take the one he slipped on first off, having accidentally put it on the wrong arm. After correcting himself, he had both of the arms on, though didn't really see any zippers on them to keep them fastened. Still, didn't have to adjust all that much due to the padding inside of them.
He considered removing his jeans just to that they don't end up pinching against his skin during the suiting up, but decided against it, grabbing the lower half of the costume from the table. He didn't have his shoes on, allowing him to slide on the legs of the costume with ease, pulling more of his legs into that of the costume, both legs of it filling up nicely. He couldn't help but smile, fully having the 'pants' of the costume fully tugged up and into place, glad to see that it was all fitting him so far. Much as he wanted to fully suit up, he figured that this little demonstration was able to tell him that all of it would fit, starting to take it all off.
It took him a bit longer to remove due to the clinging of the insides, but was able to undress himself from the costume, folding it all up into a neat pile before picking it up, walking to his bedroom. He set the folded up costume on a shelf, thinking of napping to pass the time and to wait to the later time to try the costume on fully. Tucking himself into his bed, he easily fell asleep in his spot, rolling onto his side as well.
The scene wasn't uneventful though, the costume seeming to twitch slightly in its spot, the webbed fingers slowly curling up. Both of them started to try and undo the folded pile, crawling out from the mass as well with the torso shifting off. Every part of the costume seemed to be animate, unraveling itself from the position the human put it in and undoing the neatness it was in. It took it a couple of minutes but each piece was soon undone, working together to get down from the shelf the pieces were on and towards the bed the human slept on.
Once all five pieces of the costume managed to make it to the human, the arms made their way over to the sleeping human's arms, both of the costume's arms seeming to slit open along the sides when they neared. Peeling the bed's blanket back, the started to have themselves slip onto the arms of the human whom shifted slightly in response to it. The torso slunk over to the human next once the arms fully fastened themselves, starting to envelop the torso of the human as well. However, it proved enough to stir him awake, a groan coming out from him as his eyes opened. He looked down to see what it was he was feeling, his eyes shooting wide open when he saw the practically sentient costume piece starting to cover his body.
“What the?!” he cried out, reaching to the costume piece to pry it off, only for him to not only realize that the arms of the costume were already on him, but also felt them literally stop the movement to try and remove the piece. He let out a grunt as he saw the torso piece fully seal up, regaining movement and tried to grab hold of the seams of it. To his horror, the seams of the costume didn't seem to exist anymore, quickly getting up once he saw the legs of the costume trying to grab hold of his own. In a panic, he tried to run out, only to feel his arms snap out and grab hold of the door frame, easily stopping him in his tracks.
“H-hey!” he stammered, trying to move his arms to let go of the door frame, looking back and saw the legs opening up to mold themselves around his own, panicking as he tried to not only let go but also kick the possessed costume piece away. They must have known he would do such, his foot easily landing in the webbed foot of the piece, the man crying out as he tried to pull his foot back out. Instead, the suit easily sealed around it and was pulled forward when the human tried to free it, resulting in the rest of the lower half of the costume to slap into him, easily sealing itself around the lower half of the human.
When the seam between the upper and lower halves of the costume sealed together, the costume seemed to automate the human's movements, slowly turning him around after letting go of the door frame. Despite his efforts to resist, he felt the costume automatically moving him towards the bed, where the head of the costume rested, it seemingly gazing up at his suited form. He felt the suit move his hands down to grasp the head, trying to resist again but to no avail, lifting it up and turned it to where it was facing the right way. Slowly and in a way to taunt the human, the costume had it lift the head up and slowly slip it over his own head, his vision being blocked slightly by the lower jaw of the head first before being able to see out the gaping mouth. Once the base of it made contact with the base of the neck, the seams between it and the body sealed up, the costume now in one piece with the human stuck inside.
“Why?! Why are you doing this…?!” the human pleaded, feeling himself regain control and looked over his body in the suit.
“It's a long story, human.” he heard a voice sound in his head in response to his question, jolting at the sound of such before clutching either side of it.
“Wh-who…?!”
“It's me, the costume.” the voice sounded again, the human trying to pull the head of it off of him only for his arms to seemingly lock up when he started. “And there pretty much is no use trying to get rid of me now. I'll give you…about ten minutes.” the costume said to him again, the human worried on what it meant.
“T-ten minutes…? For what…?” he asked out of uncertainty, lowering his arms back down, though wanted to pry the suit off of him.
“Until you're a full flesh-and-blood greninja, like me.” was its response, his body starting to tingle greatly, the human letting out an alarmed cry.
He felt his whole body starting to change, albeit at a rather slow rate. Still, it was enough to throw him into a panic, trying to grab hold of the costume and pull it off, the rubbery material stretching greatly but shown no signs of it breaking or tearing.
“No use trying.” the greninja stated to him in a bored tone. “Once the costume's on, it isn't coming off. Oh, and the mouth will steadily close over time, sooo…use it as a way of telling how much you have left.”
That was the last push he could take, the human breaking down into sobs after dropping to his knees, full of regret for even thinking of getting the possessed attire. He didn't even pay any mind to his limbs altering to suit that of the species the costume represented, seeing his field of view becoming narrower with each passing minute. He simply continued to cry like as though there wasn't any hope, not hearing a sigh coming from the 'resident' of the costume.
“Humans…always breaking down when something bad happens…” he heard it say, slowly calming from his sobs.
“'Something bad'? You're pretty much making me like you without even giving me a choice! And this could end up being irreversible!” he yelled out in anger, though it was muffled since the lower jaw of the head was covering his mouth.
“Irreversible, yes, but have you even thought of the benefits of this?” was its question in return.
“What benefits?”
“For one, since you're gonna be a greninja, you'd have the physique of one as well.” the costume explained. “And not just that, you know.”
Fully calming down, the human remained silent, uncertain on what to say now. He felt that his body was now more like the greninja costume, but now it wasn't even feeling rubber-like, now more like it was flesh. He did feel that he had stronger muscles in each of his limbs, somewhat able to see them through the thinning slit of a view he now had, letting out a small sigh before looking back to in front of him.
“Trust me, it isn't going to be as bad as you think it is.” he heard it say “All I can say is that you shouldn't focus on the bad things such as losing your humanity and look to all the other things that you could potentially do in your new form. Sure, the first part may be a major bad thing, but seriously, think of what you CAN be able to do once this is over.”
Hearing such did assure him, wondering what it would be like to be as the pokemon he was about to become. Letting out a sigh, he saw the last of the light from the mouth fully fade away, all of his senses fading as they worked to rearrange themselves. To him, it was like as though it was a form of being asleep for the moment, and oddly felt assuring to him, soon feeling everything coming back. His eyes opened but noticed that his gaze wasn't coming from inside of the costume, rather from the new body he had, slowly looking down. He saw that that he wasn't just in the greninja this time; he WAS the greninja now, slowly flexing each limb, finger and even toe of his new body, letting out a small sigh.
“Well…best to try and get used to the new way of life…” he stated in a low, somewhat hopeless tone, letting out a sigh before thinking of what to do now.

Rather spur-of-the-moment one-shot based on the...growing obsession...I seem to have for Greninja. I do have an alternate ending version of this planned, so expect that either within tonight or tomorrow.
And sorry if the quality of the one-shot's a bit poor. Half of this was written when I was half asleep, the rest when I was awake. Admittedly, the half-asleep part seems to be of better quality to me...
