Leslie-R and I were gabbing about ideas regarding the Blacksheep clan (Noniyah, Deon, Constance, etc), and we've tossed the idea around of a "villainess" - not so much a bad-guy as a rival for some of the family, a voodoo priestess who uses tantric magic, which makes Mama Rose's fertility-magic *very* attractive. The name Desdemona was offered-up last night and we kinda like it, so that just may be her name.

My own take on Mama Rose is that the fertility/fecundity treatments she concocts is the tip of the iceburg as far as her power and knowledge goes, it's just that the fertility/fecundity stuff is what she's most known for because that's the stuff she most often uses. Mama Rose's ultimate ambition.. is to see people Happy, to see families Happy.. which when filtered through her own personal biases means 'Lots and Lots of Sex and Healthy Babies.'
