Just a quick guide I made to help other people communicate the type of markings they want when it comes to reference sheets.
Feel free to use it yourself or make your own inspired by this.
1. Circle spots/cheetah spots. These spots are perfectly round. They can be uniform (forming lines down the body) or sporadic (placed randomly)
2. Jaguar spots. Larger than leopard spots and more open and more defined outline to the rosett.
3. Leopard spots. Smaller than jaguar spots and have a more broken outline to the rosett.
4. Sharktooth stripes. Even in thickness throughout the stripe with pointed ends. Can be straight or curved.
5. Cobble spots/Giraffe spots. Large chunks with not a whole lot of spacing between them.
6. Brick spots/Snow Leopard spots. Large almost rectangular rosettes with heavily defined outlines.
7. Blotch spots. Large, uneven, and non-uniform spots
8. Tiger stripes/common stripes. The typical stripe. These stripes wave and often split into two stripes that also sometimes reform into one before the end.
9. Zebra stripes. Less wavy than tiger stripes. These do not branch out but can meet at the end or blend into another marking.
10. Party Spots. Small, uneven, and non-uniform spots that come in thick clusters.
11. Claw stripes. Similar to the sharktooth stripe but are thicker at one end and narrow down. Can be straight or curved.
