chua (choo-wa) is a native american hopi name, which means snake. he was named so because he's usually very quiet, but can be a very good hunter. he's quite shy around people of his tribe, but looks up to his father greatly, and will one day be chief. he has a good heart and good intentions, but he can also be quite clumsy.

he's a good friend of link, while chua likes to show him the ways of his tribe, and they play songs together on their ocarinas, and hunt together with their bows.
