I do have to say this color works well with me as well.

It's a bright color. It will catch peoples' eyes. Seriously, I opened my inbox and it jumped out at me! USE THIS COLOR!

this one from a marketing prospective is perfect but if everyone else is using bright colors use a darker color to stand out from everyone else. then there is the colors of the hotel wall is bright colors (white included) then go with a dark color any way. and vice versa if the colors are opposite.
with that in minde I sugest a multicolor banner so no matter what every one else is yours will certainly stand out, even if they too are mulicolor banners as well.
