Just like my Linux system.
I can do productive work on it without using a shell all the time (which doesn't mean I never use it,but that's very rare), though I frequently get pretty bad comments because some Linux morons try to freak me out of using Linux so they can stay 1337.
But they are messing with the wrong person.

You can download a distro and run it as a line-CD (I'drecommend Ubuntu in your case) and give it a try. Don't worry, it won't touch your system at all, but you might have a lot of fun with it nevertheless. ^^

But of course it's your chioce, nobody can force you to try it, and I won't mind if you say no.

I found a Java Apophysis-j 2.5 which is supposed to run under OS X 10.4.5. I'm running 10.4.8. Unfortunately it didn't do anything when I double clicked the 2 MB .dmg disk image file.

I looked at the info on dA and at SourceForge, but nothing seems to have happened recently other than encouraging comments. I sure hope that it gets done. Please let me know when and if you hear anything further about the APO 3D version becoming available for the Mac. I'd like to make Apo elements and backgrounds specifically designed for my photomorphs.

Yeah, I understand your frustration in the wait, but recoding such a program from scratch will no doubt take some time, hehe. I will definitely keep my ears and eyes open in this subject, don't you worry. :D
