Yeah it's just an x-ray tube,
http://cgi.ebay.com/GE-1000-Dental-.....QQcmdZViewItem this chunka shit is like a grand, No charging equipment or exciter at all,
http://www.nurseslearning.com/cours.....Schematic1.jpg this is how the tube is set up, and as long as youre protected you can just use the button there, set it for a low charge and use a sheet of phosphorescent paper or painted surface, (glow in the dark) and the rays will excite the surface, and whatever you put between the xray and the paper, depending on how high the gain control is, youll be able to see through it on the paper, There was one on ebay that worked they had it set up with a sheet of cardboard sprayed with glow in the dark spray paint, and they had a suitcase in front of it, you could see everything in the case on the "screen" they made, they don't need to be "focused" or anything like that and as long as you shield yourself you'll be fine, dont you know, hold it on for 20 minutes with your head under it or anything obviously stupid lol, could even pick up a small Civil Defense gieger counter so you know when to stop so you don't over expose yourself or get a crazy dose.
http://www.ohiokids.org/tz/feb02-image.shtml like people who used those things.
Anyway, yeah, if used right they're safe and simple to use, you don't have to be a radiologist to use one, but you do have to be careful and read up on all the safe usage guidelines ... new ones, not ones from the 20s lol they'll tell you its totally safe to stick an x ray up yer ass, OH speakin of that holy crap you gotta watch this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=uu96STA5BDA you find anything like this shit in any of your travels, stay the hell away from it. a total possibility in storage areas of asylums and so on that you would run into bags of radium salts and shit..... watch that vid. lol

those are fine. the military school I went to is from 1842. Many things to explore. there was a civil war battle there, bullet holes along the walls outside. The bricks are soft, and cadets from as early as 1876 have been etching their names in the wall. (I did as well) the chapel was the makeshift field hospital as well. They've still been finding bodies as early as 2005. I found an old green medical bottle and pieces of old plates.
It's almost all gone now, only buildings left are on the Norwich side and the Administration Building which they have locked up tight since they will be renovating it. I really loved the campus when it was around and I'm sad I was too late to see most of it. Still, there are some other exciting State Hospital campuses fairly close by, with the most exciting one I want to visit being the Kings Park Psychiatric Center on Long Island!
