Well, the Chariot usually includes horses, and symbolizes youthful strength and virility. Adonis fills both those roles.
As for the discus... It's not a discus. It's gonna be a chariot wheel.
And if his pose is any indication, that wheel is going to be enjoying some VERY fast transportation in a moment!
