"Curiousity of the Rodent" (friday 13th 2008 page of insani
This was my sketch book page for friday the 13th of june 2008.
It started harmlessly enough with a rodent I managed to have posed holding hand saying "stop" but i added a don't push button there and away the picture went... then drew a bird of unknown species saying "!" then a snake dragon thingy and then a tiny croc talking to a bird headed dragon thingy (apparently about a fish the dragon swore it caught) then the ant on the rodents tail, then I drew a ground line, and figured, what happens if the button gets pushed and my mind went straight to the game "Pitfall" (the old 80's atari version) so I drew a moving floor and a scorpian thing under it waiting for something to fall and sting and then added a bright wall from the game, but decided instead to switch games to mario and added a goomba and a koopa and later on i'll add a boo...
and then under that, I drew a deeper underground scene where this long mawed something is saying hello that happens to have a tounge that has a tounge that has a tounge that has a tounge... and a hero mouse and some unspecified plausibly tiny feline companion giving a reaction to what blocks their path. Finally I added the cat and mouse death drawings on the cave's wall and a giant (in perspective) creature on the above ground scene to fill in dead space
that was a grand run on statement but that's basically exactly how my mind worked in this doodle...
last thing to add, the thing in the thought bubble is the rodent thing thinking the age old statement "curiousity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back" in picture form
enjoy my insanity
