Much closer to the ref now!
Asino is a Donkeycoon! a Donkey-Raccoon hybrid!!
PVC nostrils and lip! eyes lined with fleece. The inside is also fully lined with fleece as well, it is very comfy! Vents in ears and nostrils.
The eye pictured is just the paper template, I just need to colour some buckram and install it!
As it is this is ready for fur! The eyes are able to slot out so the rest of the head can be cleaned without worrying about damaging the buckram! Otherwise they just stay nicely wedged in :3
I have some additional fur coming thanks to said cat getting into the purple fur x.x she has clawed out the backing and was sleeping on it. I should of just left it in storage until I needed it D; Anyway! hopefully the stuff I ordered is coming tomorrow, if not Friday, I ordered next day so I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Other than that everything is progressing smoothly and to plan!
Now! for food shopping!

She clawed into the top layer then crawled inside to sleep v.v I would use it if it was my own costume, I dont even line the heads on most of my personal costumes either.
Its not as bad as when I was staying at my moms and was cleaning/reorganising my fur cupboard. I left the room for about 10mins to grab bags, hoover and a shelving wrack I had bought. Discovered her two roties play fighting and rolling around on said piles of organised fur v.v I had a heart attack x.x

Ouch! Could be worse..... MY very bad puppy Bagel got ahold of my old raccoon head and footpaw and ripped them apart while I was at work. I suspect he may have had an accomplice, but his usual partner in crime, my roomate Goldenwolf's dog Donut, was supposedly in his bedroom the whole time. Lightpaws was able to sew the raccoon back together for me in time for the MCFC fursuit parade. I would still bet that much of that fur is salvageable. Are you going to put any kind of a liner in my head? Would make it easier to clean, and I would appreciate it very much.
I love the tongue. Can you please make the right eye (on the left side of the picture) look the same as the left? I know it's not finished yet, but it bothers me that the white part seems thinner on the right side. thanks.
How do you plan to finish the roof of the mouth? I'm wondering if there is enough room up there that I could hollow out a small cavity and put in a small computer fan in front of my nose, blowing upward with a peice of vinyl directing the air towards my face. just curious, was an idea.

I hate to break it to you but the eyes are exactly the same size. I know this because they are cast from the same mould. When you approved the eyes, I decided to make a silicone mould and cast them so I wouldn't have the issue of them being a different shape. I can take a photo of the mould if you wish for proof? As for the reason you see them as different sizes is a matter of perspective. The eyes will look different from every angle. it is not possible to change that unless your head was a completely flat mirrored illustration lol Thus it is not possible to change the eye at all!
The eyes themselves are set into the head, not fixed/glued as the description says but removable for ease of cleaning the head.
As for fur: I only ordered a half meter and it was folded in half. There wasn't enough of what was left to use to cover a whole head. I also cant knowingly build a head for a customer with parts that are faulty or damaged in any way (I had ordered a new batch of foam too because said cat got into it too before I moved house). It goes against my ethics and morals. You would be getting something that is sub-par and to me that is not acceptable. If it was a personal costume I would not be fussed as the cat even claws and sleeps on me, got the scars unfortunately! Think about it in the way of a restaurant. A chef wouldn't give you food that had hair on it, nor would a customer be expected to eat it. If a complaint was made or a waiter seen, a replacement would be issued. If that makes sense?
The nose is also already hollowed out but for a fan I don't know. I have never installed nor used them in a head before. There is vents in the ears, nostrils, also airflow via the mouth and eyes so honestly a fan in my opinion is not as necessary with so much ventilation already!
As it says in the description, the head if fully lined with fleece. The mouth is already lined with fleece too so it is not possible to hollow it out more than it already is! I wasn't intending to put any teeth in the upper jaw so that if you wished to put a fan in that there would be space. If I do put the canines in then I can honestly say I don't think there would be enough room for a fan without it being visible and clipping your nose. It is one of the shortest muzzles that I have ever made!
