The Fokker D.VII was the best fighter of WWI, built by Fokker with the plans of Reinhold Platz, it was equipped of an engine Mercedes D.III or a BMW IIIa and two machineguns LMG-08/15 of 7.92mm, his structure was in firmly welded steel tubes and in canvas. His structure in steel made of him a very robust aeroplane which was very maneuverable. During the war, the german army had asked to Fokker 400 of that new fighter but Fokker could not ensure the construction of all these planes, they received the help of the other great german aviation industrie, Albatros. The D.VII was built to fight against the new fighters of the allies, the SPAD XIII and the SE.5. Into the Treaty of Versailles, the allies asked all fighters D.VII their are given, proof of the superiority of this aeroplane. Some aces like Von Richthofen or Udet had flown this plane, this one had the markings of Udet, with initials LO, initials of his wife.
