It took me a little while to get back on my feet when it comes to rigging and skinning. He's also textured, but the preview renderer has its thumb in its hiney. Also, I didn't feel like editing the parameters of the feet, but they're just as rigged as the rest of em.
Plz enjoy as Derry humps the air unenthusiastically.
Note,I'll probably stream the next model tonight, so be on the lookout for a VIP invite to the technical land of 3D!

Ha ha! I was actually thinking about doing a tutorial video, but instead of being productive, its just people smashing a computer with mauls. X3
But yeah, this kind of work can be incredibly frustrating, especially if you forget one tiny detail that absolutely ruuins the entire project.

Sigh...I took classes in college for this stuff and couldn't make anything even a fourth this smooth. I just could not skin for the life of me (I think I can rig fine, but attaching rig to model via skinned just didn't happen). Not to mention making any movement that looked natural was all but impossible *recalls first walk cycle and shudders*
I don't remember how I was taught (was using 3DS Max if that helps), but I don't recall "skin wraps" being part of it. It was more like "painting" vertices to tell them how much they need to react to the movement of the rig. Tended to lead to a lot of odd pinching or vertices going weird places.
Yeah, that's definitely the way. Er,one way. What I did was copied the model, then adjusted all of the vertexes to each bone individually on the low poly, then with the copied model, give it a turbo smooth, collapse the modifiers, align with the low poly, apply skin wrap, then make the computer do the rest of the hard work by making the skin wrap turn into skin that's adjusted to the bones.
