Yeah really. XD I'm kind of bummed it doesn't work well on windows 7 or 8 without doing some demoting of the systems though. ( or at least on mine I have to do that XD ) Been wanting to play it again so badly too XD

it was always harder to be good in that game than to be evil. i can't tell you how many times i accidently tossed villagers around by accident.

black and white 1 focused more on your creature (but was harder to train) than black and white 2 which focused more on city making.

i only played the 1st one, and now im sad that someone commented about B&W2 is not for win 7 and 8...also heard of the creature isle

Creature isleis an expantion to first game, mostly minigames. B and w one doesnt run for me, but two can.

I love this. I have both the games but like others have said windows 8 screws the templet. I wish they would do a thord one for windows 7 and 8

Black and White 2 works fine on Windows 7. I installed from the disc, then updated to 1.1 and finally 1.2. It may also help that I use a no-cd patch so I don't have to use my disc. I will try it on Windows 8.1 when I get that installed.

I played it just last year on my Windows 7 machine. You should be fine. The first game is hard to get working, but also manageable with skill.

I've had the game for a while, but for some reason, every time i install it, something goes wrong and i cant play, so i've given up!

One of my favorite games! I have Black & White 2 and the battle of the Gods Expansion pack.

A primarily gay game. The only female creature was Eve, from the Creature Isle expansion pack. Every other one was male. In Creature Isle, when you won each challenge, the main male would bring your creature into his private cave, every time. Gotta wonder what happens in there.
In the first game I did something that had unexpected results.
I had placed the leash on my creature that makes him loving. And had managed to get my enemy's creature into an area I could influence, and poured the "Love creature" potion over him.
I wasn't paying much attention at first, and heard a kissing sound. Then tried it again and did indeed see both male creatures kissing each other. Mine and the enemy's creature. lol
