Well if you must know something about me it's that abandoned places like this fascinate me this is an abandoned chromite mine that operated from 1932 to 1960 it's hight of operation came during World War II then it was shut down when it no longer met production quotas

That's pretty awesome. Also Chromite? I didn't realize that was used in modern production.

Chromite is the ore state or I purified chrome metal used in the auto industry ship building and during World War II weapons manufacturing to protect key parts today outside the auto industry and custom shops chrome is less demanded so chromite mines aren't very active anymore because of the economics just aren't there

Ahhhh ok. All i could think of was the weapons in that Chinese Emperors tomb with all the statues. the weapons are chromite plated and are still sharp after over a thousand years of not being maintained.

Yea one really has to hand it to the ancient Chinese blacksmiths they knew how to make one reliable blade there are many many reports of archeological digs in china that unearth blades that are still razor sharp

yeah but they had a society that was centuries ahead of Europe anyway. I mean they even had a early version of a seizmograph over 1000 years ago

Not only was a lot of their technology ahead of Europ's but so too was a lot of their phelosophy and sciences it truly is remarkable to see just how ahead they really were

It's a fascinating topic to be sure personally I wish I had a few more book on the subjects of their philosophy as I have a good number on their technological advances over the western world for the time period

Try checking out some of the books translated from writers in the classical era of the region. One of my favorites is Dao te Ching by Sun Tzu
