I actually kinda like the anti-climax, it was pretty hilarious! Kinda reminds me of 8 bit Theater.

If you've never heard of that it was a webcomic based on the first Final Fantasy game, it was more or less a satire on the game it was based on and on videogames in general. Every single major fight would end anti-climactically, even the last one! A true classic

8 bit theater! I read that for a while! I even watched the official flash animated versions... man I forgot about it! Is it still running or did it end some time ago? Did it come to a real conclusion???

It ended a good while back. I think you can still read it though.

As for the explosions, I recall it being a thing in one lame show, and as one person commented on that: "Gee, good thing that the bad guys always explode! If they were lying there dead, it'd make them seem human, and would make our heroes look like murderers! Plus it's easier to clean up this way, tee-hee!!"

I will try to deliver an explanation for that in the future, promised, heh.

As for the gun thing: I hate guns, I like white weaponry and magic, but there's always people who see RPGs and other things and complain "Why don't they just use guns???", so I just thought that it'd be funny to deliver that as an out-of-nowhere ending. I am certainly positively surprised how well people take it, and don't resort to wild anger.
