Backstory: Born to a wealthy New Delhi based real estate mogul family, Lilavati, or informally Lila, is seen as the oddball slacker of a family of entrepreneurs and business magnates. While her prominent parents wish her to pursue a career in business like them, Lilavati instead opted to language and philosophy, and also embraced the lifestyle of a laid back hippie; becoming a pot smoking layabout who nevertheless is highly intelligent and gives others advice, if they can decipher it of course.

Also having an interest in firearms, Lilavati has developed a keen skill at sniping targets during competitive shooting challenges and events, her change from goofy moonbeam to quiet, focused and serious markswoman when behind the scope, coupled with her accuracy, has lead to the Hindi moniker of Sapheda Mauta, White Death, or just Mauta. Her considerable height and sharp white coat, combined with her red eyes, often makes her seem intimidating, but that quickly melts away when she opens her mouth and softly spoken hippie babble with a crisp Hindi accent flows out.

Currently taking a long gap year to catch up on her studies and get up to mischief, Lila has repeatedly crossed paths with Liara and company, and has drummed up something of a casual friendship.

Trivia:

-Lilavati is Mauta in Star Trawlers, where she has a villainous, antagonistic (if affable) role.

-Her original surname was Bandyopadhyay, but was changed for being too long and kinda silly.

-She is not a Hindu and neither are her parents, otherwise her habit of eating burgers when she has pot induced munchies would have caused many a scandal for them.

-Is one of a few OCs who started life as minor villains getting a more affable and friendly retooling outside of their original native settings.
