A series of icons I've been testing...
Clockwise from top left -
*Tentative design for NSFW account
*Tentative design for art icon
*The one I'm using
*The one I almost went with
*Digital icon for the "Red Lanternverse" fanpage I never ended up starting (I'm sorry) - crow with a cravat and red lantern, it's all three series combined <3
All at least partially digital, with some sharpie or watercolor base

Should it? (blushes) I was worried I'd look too emotional if I put a face on my icon....
I have it installed, but I'm having problems setting up the account (it grates against an earlier account I wish to not use for personal trauma reasons). What's your skype name? I promise you'll be the first friend I contact <3
Your new icon... I thought it looked more Russian than Texan, then realized, "Hey, these days, what's the difference?"

"Kunst"? That's interesting. It apparently wasn't enough to nick the word "Angst" from us Joking aside, there is a funny joke we have here, which I have to explain to you in the translation for it to make sense. It is about the definition of art, and goes like that:
First the German version: "Weißt du, was Kunst ist? Für mich ist es: Kunst du mir einen Hunderter borgen?"
The punch line comes from our dialect. In English, this would go like: "You know what art is? For me it's *could* you borrow a hundred bucks to me?"
Now the explanation: "Could" in German is "Könntest", which in return sounds in our dialect very much like "Kunst", pronounced "Koo-nst". Get it?
As for your icon: Somehow I imagine it like the very first, with the only difference that the tattoo is on the forearm, like on Popeye. Don't ask me why XD

We're not all stealing the word, just me... Can we use "kunst" to mean "the state of being of something," since you guys already use "art?" X3
Hehe! Accent jokes are the best! Only German puns I know are the feminist ones... "Frauen: frei und wild, kein freiwild."
(One thing that helps make jokes more easily read is to phrase the explanation as part of the joke...
Like the explanation - I have that deer-in-the-headlines look in real life whenever I interact with someone. Just out of fear. The icon is me <3
And no forearm tattoos, sorry, I'm looking for a job as it is! X3
What's your call on the Crow icon?

The Crow icon? Well, like it is often with your art, I had to look really hard to recognize the crow XD Talk about challenging the viewer
I guess you want it to be so stylized? To symbolize those three narratives, I personally would go for a clearer look. Like, for example, on Kyell Gold's website. If you look at it, you see a fox with a pen sitting around, and around him the three symbols for his most important franchises: a pendant for the Volle books, a football for the OOP series, and swimming googles for Waterways. What do you think about Blotch's approach (who surely drew it for him)?

I should really look into this, but now that I'm out as genderfluid and don't have to present as male all the time, I draw myself in much more anxious poses than I did back in my male days, even as my real life anxiety has gone down? Hrm... (Mama Turnblatt voice) Well, I am big, I am blonde-ish, and if you say I'm adorable, I guess I am!
Oh god, thank you. I'm very self-conscious about my digital work - lacking a tablet, I rarely do more with it than abstract color studies like these X3 You want I should compile them?
