Make the foreground more crisp! Sharpen the edge of the mountain he's on, it'll make the background blend better and attract focus on your character! The shading is looking good, although assuming the light source is toward the back id say put the shadow/highlights on the other side of the foot and tail where they lie horizontal. It looks very nice, keep practicing!
