Hmm... well to be fair, there isn't such a thing as biting off more than one can chew when the fate of the planet is at stake. Survival and all that.
There is such a thing as overwhelming odds. Fire up the warp gates, jaunt devices, planar portals, or whatever you use to transport yourself to different realities. We're going to be in need of a new home soon.

...oh, and some god tag King Dead's soul for reincarnation. Unless this brave act is enough to get him into Valhalla, he could use a second chance.
