Sci-Fi crushed by Drake Fenwick

Many moons ago Drake was nice enough to let me attack his work with some digital crayons. I used PaintShop Pro 7 for this and it was one of the last ones I did in that program.
There are things I like about it and things I don't. Some things I liked were intentional, others appeared out of nowhere (B uses magic to make awesome pictures and it sometimes stays with the image).
Criticism welcome.

I like vivid. Crushed is a vibrant character that never gives in. What's troubling is that I don't think the piece I'm working on at the moment will come up to how this turned out. I blame jaffa cakes or something. Shockingly, the next one won't be of crushed.
