That's a death mask of an old gorilla named Gust from a zoo in Antwerp. He was the icon of the zoo and died 1988. He has a very nice face full of character.

It isn't a stupid question. You're absolutely right. His name was Gust and he was the icon of the Antwerp zoo. :)
He's indeed massive! He also has a nice story. He got shot in the face, but got away and the wound got infected. I don't know if he died because of it. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12831537/
