Dragon body type winner!

In honor of the survey I did a few weeks back, I dedicate this practice painting to the winner of said survey: the upper body biped!

Also, anatomy is hard! I want to get better at digital painting and anatomy studies so if you have any tips please let me know.

Yeah, I won't disagree with you. Anatomy is a bitch to draw, and even a bigger bitch to draw right. I don't mind giving you a pointer or two~

Thanks, I appreciate it. Most of my struggles are getting the forearms to twist and in perspective properly. It hard to find good reference too, so many pictures of buff forearms are in the same boring pose ~ and many other artists cheat by putting them in bracers!

This is superb though. Excellent stuff. It makes me wish I could get Ryuu-kun looking this good as a macro since he's a biped dragon too.

Keep drawing! I'm setting aside time every day nowadays to draw something for an hour. It's hard to do at first, but over time you look forward to it!

I had this "sketch a day" routine I was doing, but recently due to losing a great job I only had for like two weeks, I got kind of bummed by it and it killed my drawing mojo. I'm trying again, believe me.

No problem! You really did an extremely awesome job on this piece! Its very detailed and he looks extremely cool and very strong! You really outdid yourself on the muscle work though. It looks really amazing. How big is he and does he have wings? :)

How big? We'll I imagined him to be about 11ish feet tall, as far as weight goes I have no idea...

He does have wings, but I got a little lazy on rendering the membranes I just wanted to move onto my next drawing!
