Terry and I just got back from the vet. Only this time I did not return home with my awesome dog Ginger. She was a wonderful, energetic and playful companion but unfortunately developed spinal degeneration in her final years. She is already greatly missed. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7496032/
Here is a portrait my friend

Looks like she's a mini Sheltie. So sad to loose our furry family. My father had to let go of our pet Ginger (Finnish Spitz) when she was nearly 16. Breast cancer took her too soon. I loved how she "talked" with rolling growls and barks, and her tail curled when happy. Won't miss her SBDs. though.
Oh my God, I am so sorry to hear that. I did remember when I was visiting a few weeks back seeing her resting on the ground, and it broke my heart compared to the first time I met her back in 2011. At least she is now free of pain and running around to her heart's content in Heaven. She will be missed. *hugs*
*Big Hugs*
Treasure her memories as that is her gift and legacy to you. Please don't dwell on the might have. Should I have given her more walks, treats, pats. That is in the past and she loved you regardless.
Thinking of you my friend as I have seen some of my own companions move on beyond the veil.

Awwww, she looks adorable and I know the pain your going through, my dog Bandit developed cancer in his nose and it ended up putting me in the hospital over the loss of him, I still mourn him, love him and terribly miss him *stretches out paws to offer comfort hug* I'm very sorry for your loss, I know it was an extremely hard decision to make and I applaud you for not being selfish to keep her on earth with you .... she will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, as will Bandit when it's our turn to cross with them.
